What is CamLensCreations and Who is Cam?

CamLensCreations was created as a way to share the artistic vision of photographer Cameron Lescault. Inspired early on by his father, Robert, and his love for 35mm film photography, Cam first began using a camera around the age of 16. While taking digital photography and yearbook classes in high school, he developed a growing curiosity for the craft and learned the foundational principles of photography using a Nikon DSLR and Adobe photo-editing programs.

Cam was born, raised, and continues to reside in Gainesville, Florida. His professional background is varied, including time spent as a mechanic’s apprentice, owning and operating a landscape and grounds maintenance business, and eventually progressing into a lead role within a successful local residential construction company. Cam’s parents, Debbie and Robert, raised him with the belief that the arts hold an important place in life. After losing his father to esophageal cancer in 2012, Cam became somewhat disconnected from the importance of art as an outlet of personal expression while navigating his grief.

More than a decade later, a trip to Austin, Texas led to an unexpected turning point. There, Cam met two photographers who, after viewing some of his work, encouraged him to revisit photography as something worth pursuing. After some initial hesitation and continued positive feedback from peers and professionals within the media industry, Cam decided to begin offering his services to those who connect with and appreciate his work.

Cam aims to create photographs that feel a step removed from the everyday smartphone image. By thoughtfully using composition, artistic design elements, and color, he looks for perspectives that encourage viewers to slow down and notice details that are often overlooked. Through CamLensCreations, he works with individuals and businesses who value authenticity, creativity, and visual storytelling, with the goal of producing images that feel both intentional and genuine.
